Just wandering what would be tha max tire size that you can run using any of these after market flares? Will they be ok for 37" tires?? The standard flare size fits a standard wheel arch cut out. I am also going to be making a guard with the flare molded into it to fit 37 inch tires for the GQ ...

We already do GU bonnets they weigh about 9 kg. We will be doing gaurds very soon, they will weigh about 2.5 kg each.

Well done my gearbox oil change and used synthetic gear oil and it made the change a lot better but not perfect. As the 80s use 3.9 lts of oil I draind 500ml and added 500ml of auto trans oil and what a diffrance, I've never had such a smooth change. By the way I seeked advice from 3 machanic shops ...

Fibreglass guards don't hold up as well as the Kevlar one's, as the Kevlar guards can withstand a lot more flex before it breaks. If it only hapens when it is cold 9 times out of 10 it is because of the oil is in need for a change to something a bit thinner. My 80 has this problem now I just have to get motivated to do something about it. :)

what resin is used for for your flares, and do you use any glass in the Kevlar flares ie tissue to stop print through from the Kevlar weave.

I had a 3f in my 80 it had done aprox 300,000 km and just starting to blow a little bit of smoke, they are a good motor but lack in power. You will find your self in low range a lot when in the bush, that is why I put a 350 chev in mine.
