A couple of tidy looking setups there. How much of a pain in the arse is it to disconnect for oil changes or to check the dipsticks? I'm sure I could sus something out make it managable

x2. Just bought myself a hilux running a Surf hairdryer & first on the list will be a cooler. Already has 2' body lift & I don't think a front mount would be an option so top mount it will most likely be :?

You'd probably want some after market radius drop arms on it too to push the front diff forward as I'd nearly guarantee they'd rub on the guards & I'm with GQ Bear....37s' on a GQ with 3'+2'....WTF!!!

More details would help.

Cab chassis? Wagon? Engine size?

Not 100% sure but I reckon there'd definately be rubbing with 35s' on a stock GU. Not all 35s are 35s :?. 35 M/T Claws are a smaller tyre than say 35 pedes & there'd be a few others aswell I'm guessing.

As for 15s', I'm pretty sure they'll ...

Not sure what the Navara's like as far as towing goes but I'd think the GU would have to tow better than it with the td42 & I'm sure they have a larger towing capacity also:?

I had to tow boofs lux home on the trailer a month or so back & it towed really well. It felt reasonabley stable on the ...

If you plan on setting up a camper on the rear I'd suggest leaf rear as there's obviously going to be a fair amount of weight on the back & leafs are the way to go with heavy loads though in saying this, I guess you could go poly air bags with coils that way you'd have the best of both worlds & it's ...

Inner axle seal?

The drivers side inner axle seal's leaking (has been for a while now ) & I was wondering how hard it is to change it?

Also, I know they recommend 80-90 gear oil for the front diff but can 85-140 gear oil be used?

I'm pretty sure it's only the GU 'auto hubs' that you'll have dramas with, not the GU freewheeling hubs. I busted the Auto hubs in the wagon, changed them to GU freewheeling hubs & never had any probs with them ;)

If you need a hand pulling the cv & axle out, give me a yell.

I busted my auto hubs on the wagon a while ago & changed them to Nissan freewheeling hubs as they're stonger than the auto hubs & a hell of a lot cheaper :?

From what I was told when I was looking @ getting a set, Nissan freewheeling hubs are a stronger hub than the AVM ones.
