Re: Stock coils & shocks + spacers (NM) - advice

Hi all, This is my first post on Outer Limits, also my 1st question regarding my Pajero. My wife & I bought the 2001 NM Pajero about 6 months back and I'm thinking it needs new coils and shocks (rough ride). I thought that while that was getting changed I'd get a 2" spacer lift (if you can get one ...

If you have super select then no auto hubs. There were some with the part time 4WD that proabaly had manual hubs (In NZ anyway). Auto hubs finished with the introduction of the Gen 2 Pajero late 1990 or 1991 (whenever it was) Or you could prove me wrong with pic's  There have been random ...

I've got a copy of the NM manual but it's too big for me to host online. I can FTP it to someone if they have space. Manual is approx 340MB zipped.

Includes the manual for the 2000 model Challenger....

Be safer to put the vehicle up on chassis stands and then lower the axle, rather than raising the vegicle with a Hi-Lift. Imagine slipping off the Hi-Lift with the axle unbolted.... :bad-words: :bad-words: :bad-words:

Not too keen on the auto, as the downhill control is a bit of a problem.
Actually, not as much of an issue as you may think. Mine crawls downhill quite well and would be awesome with some of Frank's gears.

If you're set on doing it cheap, cut a coil or two off the GQ springs with a GAS AXE. Not like you're going to stuff up the rates or anything, they're allready the wrong springs.

If you want to fit Kings, for a 2"lift, cost is about $150 for the NH.
