no.

one downside to braided is you cant clamp off the line close to the caliper if you want to do work on the car or change a cv

saying that, you prob dont need to clamp them off on a hilux becasue you can move the caliper aside when the line is so long

bit of work involved in putting them in becasue the lux is obviously leaf springs to start with.

Depends how custom you want to go too. Ive gone a little to custom i think with the front end. Radius arms are a one off and flipped on top of the diff which means i have to get the same arms again if ...

Ive building (not myself) a hilux atm for winch challenge.

I have a dual cab, 5 litre injected V8, king coilovers all round, gq diffs, 37" treps etc etc.

It will cost you way more than you think it will. But will be good when finished, to many gqs around

could be worn body mounts or cracked floor where it meets the firewall in the front footwells

I would say to early 97 would be the same

89 to early 97 are the same shape luxes (to the last of the solid axle)


I had a 2004 model tub on my 89 and you need to taper the front becasue they are wider. You also dont bolt up the middle mounts, and the front ones have to be redrilled

Darren's Rav is about 4 years and I think 1 marriage worth of work and lets not even guess on the $$$ he spent on it.

If I'm not mistaken every single part of the body has been modified in some why to make everything fit n work.

So do you know the RAV in the picture?
Do you know what his done to ...

Do you have the digital controller with the pump to? Cant you adjust water flow with that?

dunno yet, in my old car (22R) i had it top right of the engine bay.

The new lux i havnt really used it, but its got a V8 that drowns out any other noises

we put a garret turbo on a mates 80 a couple of days ago.

he just made a bracket to put the actuator on the other side of the turbo i think. Just bent it up out of flat bar.

hey guys sorry to hi jack but has anyone balanced up weld on external beadlocks and how do the go? i have been told that they cant be balanced, then they they can by by others, was gona be my christmas pressie but i just want to know if its worth it or not

well if u cut it nice, you then have a perfect grill with a nice neat cut out in rather than a crappier grill with a cut out in it.

I've been told you can damage your internal cage by welding the roof and pillar bars to it. If you hit it hard enough, apprently you can put a dimple in the cage where it joins.

alot down here in vic now are just welding them to the gutters

89 dual cab with a injected 5 litre in it. cross over steering and a few other things.

The car didnt look like it would be engineerable at the time either haha. It was huge

I bought the car like that, so didnt actually have to deal with him. But i spoke to him ...

Just curious to see how many people would be keen to buy an Albright winch solenoid if i could get them for $150 or so.

I havnt ordered them yet, but just sussing out the interest.
