Cube for cube, a two stroke eats a four stroke for hp and torque.

And they smell better! :D

Yes they do, but they don't produce twice the power despite drawing twice the fuel and air.
Which is an indication of how poor the efficiency is.

What's this, defending four strokes? You Sir, are a ...

2 stroke diesel is totaly different to petrol, ie it has a blower to force iduction air into the motor via a air jacket and ports in the cylinder block.
The blocks ten to be built heavier to acomodate this, compair to the engines actual capacity.
2 strokes in general produce more HP per cubic ...

Re: flares

Hi Mangie,
what resin is used for for your flares, and do you use any glass in the Kevlar flares ie tissue to stop print through from the Kevlar weave.
Your prices sound very fair.
Regards Jason.

Hello Jason

Yes there will be a small amount of glass in the kevlar flares.

As for the ...

Pics. by mid week.
Will have 4 door rears done within 2 weeks. Does you know who only sell flares as a kit or can you buy say just 2 rears ?

The resin etc. has also risen as it's a petroleum product.
All the same I recon I could do a set of kevlar flares for around $500 (that's a rough estimate). I believe the real test is to change the product enough so as to not upset the makers of the original product.

I'm sure I could make Kevlar flares cheeper than that. With a flexable resin you won't break those suckers. It aint hard to rip a mould, just got to make a few changes so as to not upset the original owner/supplier.

I have some Adam, I'll show you tomorrow.
Did I mention I'm pretty handy with fibreglass ;) ;)
