Has anyone had any luck with these radio transmitting thermometres that are supposed to read your fridges temperature? I've played around with two and the only time that the temperature can be read is when the transmitter is alongside the receiver. I've also tried new batteries. I'm also wondering ...

Good for you! I saw all that too. But how long did it take for you to read it all?? I just don't have time to sit around and go through all that information. If I did I would.

Has anybody tried importing a winch from overseas? Seems it may be a cheaper way to go.

When I had problems with the cracked head and spoke to Nissan, the engineer told me they "shudder" when they hear people put after market turbo's on. She said that Nissan spend millions of dollars developing their engines and you can't just go and bolt something on that the engine wasn't designed ...

The GQ's engine was overfuelling in one spot and it turns out it had been since it was fitted according to the records. The fitter blamed a flaw in the metal but according to Nissan if that was the case it would have cracked a lot earlier and yes, apparently it was tuned badly by him.

I had one of those showers that are attached to the car motor that supply warm water via an electric pump on a GQ for years with no trouble. I've since upgraded to a GU and it's been suggested that I don't put one on as it may stuff the cooling system. Any thoughts? I also have good prices on GPS's ...

Has anyone got any experience with a dust deflector on the back of the roof of a GU? Do they help reduce dust? Increase noise? Increase fuel consumption?

Just got a 2002 GU with the 4.2 Turbo. I can't find anything in the paperwork to tell if it's a series 2 or 3. How do you tell? Thanks.

Looking at doing an upgrade to a 3" lift. I'm considering Koni and Old Man Emu shock absorbers. I've also been referred to Ridepro although they seem significantly cheaper. Any recommendations or thoughts?

I heard the BFG's aren't as good anymore due to a softer compound being used in manufacture. I've had a good run out of my muddies, about 80,000 kms and am looking at either BFG's or Cooper's, not sure which to go for though.

Can anyone let me know what ratio of water to coolant/anti freeze to put in a TD42 with an aftermarket turbo?
