Ive been looking for that build up thread, thinking of doing something similar to the 4.4 i had in the county prior to the ls1

Im interested in a set too, my county has nothing front end flex wise...

What did he build it on? is that one of the Axial crawlers under that rover body??

It looks like all the rust stuff is covered here, when it comes to doors, firewall, body panels etc its all replaceable if need be anyway, as long as the chassis is good, even then rust repairs to some parts of the chassis wouldnt be to hard.

But to be honest i doubt there is a county out there ...

Im going to be using a GQ 5 speed box in my Land Rover, it already has a LT230 transfercase adapted to it to suit my setup but i am also going to be puting a LS1 in at the same time.

I have looked around and found Dellow make a bellhousing to suit the swap also Marks adapters have a kit ...

Sounds interesting, do you have any pics or bulld up thread etc on your truck? i would love to have a look,,.. I thought about using the lexus motor too, but decided on the gen3 as one came up at the right price. Hopefully i can get some reasonable economy out of it too compared to the old carby ...

Yep, im pretty pleased with the buy, just gota get it here now! and yeh im very glad ive found a manual that will do the job, with the gen3 going in it was looking more and more likely i would be running a t700 behind it, I dont mind autos but manuals just a little more fun and easier to deal with ...

I got it for 950 on ebay, i contacted LRA they have another kit, the last one they have, there asking 2k for it inlcuding a good GQ gearbox,,..

Zuffen did you make your own patrol box to lt230 adapter?

Well it looks like i will be puting a patrol box in my county...

It will probobly take some mods to fit a county after looking at mine, it will need the cross members modified pretty heavily, but im planning on bidding and putting it in mine behind the Gen3

Do you know whats involved in fitting this box up? how far back does the transfercase sit compared to normal? the patrol box's are pretty big compared the rover ones....

Did u find any? im looking for the same thing myself.... either that or a set of 17x8 alloys with slightly more offset the then standard ones to suit some 33s on my 120

Ive been after a set of these for my 110 for months now, no one in the UK seems to be interested in replying to my emails and the guy from coffs 4x4 hasnt got back to me either..... if you have any more luck then i have had let me know i really need a set.

is that the 4 speed or 5 speed variant? can you get a belhouseing to suit a ls1? what are they worth? someone else suggested them to me as well but that was a 4 speed

Well im putting a gen3 into my county but keep coming across issues working out which gearbox to use, so far i have looked at the L95 and other rover boxes but run into issues with clearance for the flywheel unless i take alot off the bellhousing, i have also looked at using a t56 with a lt230, but ...

I'm going to firestone airbags front and rear in my rangie - hoping parts arrive tomorrow.

Firestone assembly W01 358 5429 (airbag 1T14C-8) has compressed height of 175mm (6.9") and extended length of 566mm (22.3"), 168mm diameter.

The piston that comes with this assembly, needs to be changed or ...

i wouldnt mind running something like that aswell, but they would have to be very long at full extension and still be able to tuck well... i doubt there will be many bags that would be suited to that.

this is the setup i run in the rear of my county, i beleive these procomp shocks are 32in at full extension with 14 odd in of travel.

how much meat did that leave in the bellhousing after you ground it out? the lt95 might just be a little to small to grind out....

This is the gen3 LS1, not the old cast iron 350, they use a 12in clutch and the ring gear is huge, it doesnt fit in the 350 adapter, otherwise it would all bolt together minus 1 bolt in the adapter plate, which is what i had been told it should do, but it seems theres no flywheel to suit(that i know ...
