LT230R speedo drive.

Post by KiwiBacon »

I've recently swapped the LT230T in my 85 rangie to a 1:1 ratio LT230R (from an 85 auto rangie).

My speedo now reads 10% higher than it used to. Since the propshaft speed is unchanged the difference has to be speedo drive ratio.

Is it possible to simply swap across the tail housings on the boxes? I've just pulled the back housing off the old box and noticed the speedo drive is integrated into the driveshaft. Will these plug and play or did they change the centre diff splines?
