Hi just wondering if anybody could give me advice on whats needed to be done to lift bar to suit bodylift.Any advice would be much appreciated,also was qouted $800 by on track,I did my own bodylift on my old mq but a little wary to go farkn up the mav what do you guys think go for it or pay the experts. :?

try a metal fab joint and dont forget to mention cash. it should be a bit cheaper

hey mate,

I got my arb winch bar lifted for 2 inch body lift at superior for $275!!!

Great job would highly recomend taking it to someone who is a competent welder and an idea of how to brace it up.

ive got an ARB winch bar and side guards and steps off a GU already lifted to suit 2inch body. just take a grinder to the mav and make mine fit......Approx 2 cutting blades @ 2.25 each......cheap!

The fitter at works got the gear i just want to know what sort of bracing & what not so i dont lose any strength.so i can still use the recovery hooks on the bar.(to recover the father in laws 80 series :lol: )Anybody know whats needed to be done.

correct i dropped in their last night to say hi, and from what i can gather sandy still ownes the factory but has officially shut up shop. im assuming he will pay out his lease and thats it, but that last bits all heresay.

Mine's been done , no bracing required. I'll take a pic tommorrow maybe. ARB bar 100mm RHS cut through. 10mm plate welded to RHS on each side offset by 2". There's still plenty of overlap with the RHS on each side of the 10mm plate. There's no way it will bend or break or anything. No need for additional bracing.

It its an ARB. Remove the bar from the mounting bracket. Drill new holes at correct height through the mounting bracket. Replace bar. Perfect job. Around an hours work. DIY = Free.
The bar remains as strong as original
