Snorkel, K&N Air filter, 3.5" Dump pipe off turbo into a 3" straight through exhaust, you'll have a smile from ear to ear, Take it from someone with experience ;) ;) ;)

how many k's has it got under its belt?

I would like to see how the intercooler is mounted also, I have a 87 HJ61 12-HT and have been toying with the idea of a top mounted I/C similar to that of a (dare I say it on here? :) ) Nissan Patrol.

With dual batteries, air con, twin headlights there is not much room to mount and I/C behind the grille. Then there is the issue of the radiator getting air that has been heated by the I/C and the air con....

I bought my '61 for 8K three years ago, it was an auto, however I changed it to 5 speed. (yep, did it myself) At the same time I modified the engine pipe on the dump pipe, as it necked down to 2" (why ther person that fitted the 3" exhaust did this I have no idea) and the difference that made was fantastic, the turbo boosts at around 1100rpm, and my fuel economy went from 7.4 kpl on the highway (driving back from Brisbane) to 9.8 kpl driving back and forward from Gordonvale into Cairns! Admittedly the change from auto to manual would have helped considerably.

looking forward to hearing about other peoples mods.... I better start a new post for that....

With the heater element in the intake don't worry about it not needed unless it get really cold ( below 0 ). mate of mine has one unhooked and has no problems ( direct injection is good for easy starting.

12HT bolts straight in. 1HZ doesn't. That's a good reason...

I've got 12HT envy dybes

I'm not talking anymore :finger:

i put on the new accelerator cable today, and it just doesnt seem right...

it seems to be sitting in the wrong place and will not go into any of the retaining brackets... it is also wound all the way out to get the right tension... i think they may have given me the wrong part...???

is there a couple of different cables for the 12hT or just the one???

the one i have is pn# 78180 90A32
cheers
