4500 80 series Uni Chip?
Anyone got an 80 with a Uni Chip fitted? How were the Performance gains? More importantly did it improve economy? Just bought a 96 Manual one and they say the Uni Chip increases both of these.
Had one fitted 12 months ago cost me $1295 with dual mapping as i am running lpg. Havn't notiiced much change in the fuel economy on either LPG ,or ULP
But did make an over all improvement on preformance and the engine pulls a lot harder and revs a lot smoother through out the range.
Got the best increase on lpg as it is about 101 octane and can be tuned better with the unichip i have about 4kw more than standard ulp.
I got fairly close to the 10% increase in power as suggested by unichip.
It definately worth fitting if running LPG .
As for stanard ULP marginal improvement.
But you will get a lot better result with a UNICHIP if you have it set up to run on premium ULP. That means you must be running it at the time of instilation and dyno tuning.
It would be better to have it set up with dual mapping for both std ULP
and premium ULP .
But that would make two trips to the DYNO one for each fuel.
