200TDi Injector Pump - Reset/Adjust

Post by mike_beecham »

Is there a noticeable difference if one was to have the injector pump 'played' with. Spoke to a reputable Rover workshop today and their spin on it is that it is worth doing!

They said it basically makes it a little nicer to drive. i.e. when cold, up hills etc. No REAL world impact on fuel economy either...

Anyone adjusted their 200 Defender?????

Is a rather cheap operation - under $150.00.

Sure, you can get maybe 30% more power and 40% more torque with a pump and wastegate tweek.

IMO, it is best to get a boost gauge and an EGT guage first though to make sure you don't go too far.

See here for a very large thread on the subject.
