i am currently running 35's on a gq shorty 3"lift and 2" body. i used to run 34 trekkers but i am now running 35 baja claws. i am having BIG problems with the rear tyres rubbing on the side of the body (inner wheel arch) where it meets the floor pan,its cutting the hell outa my tyres, what have peopple done to rectify this??

few options
1 cut arch or make it a duel cab
2 bigger offset rim (then itwill hit the outside instead tho
3 extend your bumpstops
4 ignore it like most people do

im about to extend my bumpstops because im sick of it binding up a wheel every time it flexs. my locker was playing up for a bit and with the open diff soon as it got flexed up and bound i couldnt go anywhere.

angle grinder + floor pan = no more rubbing...


im 99.9% sure this is NOT the best way to go about rectifying the problem, but thats my 2c worth :D

Cruiser offset rims if you have not got already or if you look closely where it cuts the tyre there is a lip approx 20mm just take a BFH and tweak - tis what I am going to have to do to my wagon

Grind down the bolt for the seat belt so that it is flat with the nut. Your tyre will still rub against the inner guard but it won't cut your tyre anymore.
