air locker
ive just got a rear air locker for my 94 lux. i noticed that when its disengaged dif oil spits out of the blow off on the compressor. i took it back to the shop and they said that the breather extention must be blocked or kinked. so i checked the hose and even disconected it. it still blows oil. is this a common problem? whats wrong with it?
94 twin cab hilux, 3'' spring, 2'' body, 37'' sticky treps, front & rear air lockers, rockhopper gears.

that was happening to the one that arb installed in my vitara ever since day one. the 2 o rings that sit in the seal housing are either twisted or knackered, and allowing minute amounts of oil to be forced back up the air line. as long as your compressor isnt cutting in while the diff is locked it shouldnt leak air....mine never did. i replaced the o rings and it stopped doing itive just got a rear air locker for my 94 lux. i noticed that when its disengaged dif oil spits out of the blow off on the compressor. i took it back to the shop and they said that the breather extention must be blocked or kinked. so i checked the hose and even disconected it. it still blows oil. is this a common problem? whats wrong with it?

Free air locker to the first 20 callers!
did you read the two thread which I posted? take the time to do your homework before you embarrass yourself - chances are high that your locker is fine, and the problem, if there is one, is external to the locker itself.rocklux wrote:they fitted it incorrectly they can fix it n i wont b payen

went to the shop today and they said that a small amount of oil is expected. but this is driping. 5 shots covers an a4 piece of paper. so they will be pulling it apart to cheak the seals.
