Does anyone know much about tirfor cables? I have just got a 3.2t Tirfor it says on the side that i need 16mm cable. Qustion 1 do i have to have that size cable and Question 2 Where can i get some cable and approx how much?

answer 1. Yes, the cable needs to be that size as the tool works by clamping the cable (without damage!).

answer 2. You're best off going for the original gear, as the ends are tapered for feeding in to the tool, cost unknown, source any 4wd shop.

take the old one to some one like nobles and they will make one with a tappered end for you

Don't have orignal cable, it did'nt come with one.

I got it cheap and thats probobly why, I'll check out the 4'by shops tommorow

Nobles will be cheaper. They sell Tirfor cable.

Chances are most 4x4 shops wont stock a 3.2T cable. Thats a big mother. Normal size is 1.6T. They may be able to get it in. As previously suggsted, try Nobels, or another specialist winch/lifting gear supplier, or find the Oz distributor.
