I know that I have asked this a few times over the weekend, but how many ladies drove in the Outlaw class on the weekend???

I came 3rd and only did 3 tracks. This was the first time I have driven the nissan (other than going down town) and nearly had a hearty when Peter wanted my license so I could compete   I like my half standard 100 series ;)

Gotta say I'm still smiling from completing the All Terrain, we timed out at 40pts but made it. What a BUZZ!!! The rock face at the end of the track was interesting, I had to ask as to how verticle we were.

All in all despite the rain the weekend was great, Christine and the rest of the club did a great job organising J7.

I would also like to thank all involved in bringing us a new rear axle (I broked it  ) we very very very muchly appreciate it.

One very happy lady

J7

Post by cebarry »

Thanks to all involved with J7, especially the On All 4's Club.
Good to see all the clubs having so much fun......entering all the events & having a go, even on the Winch event...
the Wet certainly made it more entertaining......and heaps better than dust! tho I felt for all the mums trying to keep their kids clean instead of coping with mud rats.

A well organised, well run and "well behaved" mob!.........the true spirit of a 4wd event and another great Jamboree

Had a ball
Great atmosphere and great comp
C redit to all who organised and marshalled

Rain was a piss off but after the first day it didn't really matter any more
Had fun, naved for four different trucks
Fixed trucks late into night in pouring rain (not fun)

Helped to marshal Trees Revenge on Saturday morning with the worst hang over, but it was still fun
Also helped out on the ramp, some truck were amazing
There was a Rover which I think ended up winning, Webbies LWB Zook and the school bus which 'flexed' that much that the whole chassis twisted

Big  to the guys and gal who let me nav, it was a privilege
I'll be back again for sure, but to compete next time

i had a top weekend too :D albeit damp and muddy..... didn't do a lot of the events due to the rain and running the ramp each day. Was great to catch up with a lot of people.... ones from this forum and my own. Great bunch of guys.... and everybody's behaviour was top notch :) On All 4's is to be congratulated for running a top event under tough conditions. Well done guys! i have some videos and pictures, which i will post up later :)

 to the on all 4s and other clubs etc who assisted, was a great event, a Jamboree to remember...........whos gunna have a crack at running the next one?

also helped with trees revenge and the ramp with Tony, so it was good to se some of the guys and girls have a crack close up

first drive in the new rig proved testing...........on parts and my patience anyway, sheared the axles off the hub on day one  only very soft stuff up the hill climb, wasnt expecting something to go in those circumstances, but I had done the funkahna that day so I went and helped on the ramp and got back to camp with parts thanks from pete from napean clup for the studs and backed up for the mud drags which were awsome fun, although Wayne had the shits that he couldnt have a run up in the passenger seat

day two saw me wake up  ery hung over and marchal on trees revenge, about 2 when we got releived I had a crack and got to 40 when all the outlaw guys for the day were getting stuck on 10 at the first big log, was having a bit of fun and when 6 feet of air (apparently) got my front diff hum up on a stump keeping both front wheels off the ground I failed to preceed further and roke a CV trying to get off. Thanks to the fellea who grabbed hold of the snatch to pull me side ways to get me unstuck, and sorry to the felles near the mud run who prolly got some dirt on themafter I had to drive up the hill with no front drive and thanks to mitchell bros who sold me a CV up there

got that fixed and on day three went up and did the mud run only to not give it enough stick up the exit (still nervy about flipping the shorty  ) and shearing the studs off one of the axles again when bouncing trying to get up, thanks to the guy who found one of the spring washers 150 odd metres away  for returning it

well now I know what is weak, and have a list of things to do, including the 10mm retainer bolts on the rear axles and no doubt a set of longfeilds

was good to meat a few more people, and say hello to all the other rednecks I allready knew...........like Tony   I want a bypass on mine mate

btw if anyone has any pics of my POS I would love to see them

We were waiting at the All Terrain when you did the rear axle at the mud. Sorry but we knew it was gunna break when you started for the exit. We had just finished saying its gunna break and BANG!!

Sux though ey. We know the feeling and we only did one.

There are some awsome guys & girls around in our clubs willing to help out, whether we know them or not.

Good job to all of you

  as I sat there bouncing I remeber thinking, whats gunna break first

The idea was to go out and se what the strenfth of things were and what was going to break easy, that said I had spent so much time getting stuff ready for rego etc that I ran out of time to get parts

hopefully with 10mm studs and decent CVs it "should" hold up allright

but yeah, the 4wd scene is great, there is almost always someone willing to help out and len bits etc.....just about to pick up some studs to replace ones borrowed

As Jamie Smith Say's It was the best Jamboree ever
I recon my most memorable moment from any jamboree was Dunedoo.

When an 80 got bogged in the mud hole and a couple of hotties jumped out in G bangers !!!!!

Not surprised. I walked on over to ya camp bout 2 am ish and did a polite "Tiny, keep the noise down a touch old mate"

Wonder how dude went with his GQ - busted CV, suspect busted rear axle/diff, busted fuel pump, and busted pride, had to get his rig towed home.

Tiny,

I must have laid in bed for a good coupla hours listenning to the boys stories about winchbreak, porters, wattos, etc. Stories of places that are no longer. I was chuckling at the piss head stories.
