ya can see the smaller barred '2nd' rad just behind the bracket in the right side of the pic. (appologies for bad quality)
Uhmm, the front one is your oil cooler, the rear one your radiator...

wow you have that many cores?? am i the only one failing to see the heating problem in tilts post?? hehe
the heating problem caused me to crack the head on the patrol (that is what my good friend tilts is refering to) as for the clutch it sat that long that when i finally rectified the problem (including the over heating) it decided to finally let the clutch go as well, "what are mates for" pointing out your foibles thats what
anyone made anymore progress with their radiators at all? I'm suffering from major procrastination and havn't done a thing to my rig for a few weeks now, brought all this stuff and its just sitting there...One day i'll get my arse into gear.
Anyone gone any further with the oil cooler? still unsure where to put mine and where to plumb it in...
my external oil cooler comes off the filter via a spin on adapter..from adapter goes to oil stat which only allows flow of oil to cooler once oil is over 90..oil cooler mounted infront of rad..has 13row cooler...
uses 20/50w oil (diesel high spec) changed every 2500miles. psi at tickover when hot 25psi..cold 50
as engine is fitted in range rover uses rangie rad..(recored by rad shop for £100) so is now 4/5 core(cant remember)
internal oil cooler cleaned of gunk..
twin kenlow elecy fans on rad..
garrett 2052s turbo.running 1 bar boost..cosworth (ex 4x4 sierra) intercooler front mounted..oddddddleeeeess of power NEVER (touch wood) gets hot..fans hardly ever come on ..
timing advanced a wee bit...
straight though 2.5in exhaust.
k&n filter mounted in original rangie filter canister holder being feed kool air via large tube from OUTSIDE engine bay..(snoorkle thgingy)
external oil cooler and recored rad made a large difference when on heavy load
