Changing a 28 spline 9" to 31 spline

Post by dv8666 »

I've got a 28 spline 9" centre I spent 1650 on getting rebuilt, now I don't need it in the falcon anymore, but it's the right ratio for the Bronco. Problem is Broncos are factory 31 spline, is it hard to change the centre to suit the axles?

if its an lsd then yes it will cost a lot to change over. or u could just put a min spool or full spool or detroit locker in that is 31 spline and it will fit.

Is the falcon centre LSD?
Is the Bronco centre LSD?

If so, get the spider gears changed over.

Or put a spool in it, less than $300, unbreakable, light weight, and locked.

Or a minispool, $100, locked, but rely's on the ford case.
