How did you set up your jig for drilling out for the studs, to fit the lux centres in the rover housings? I've no intention of putting them in there near enough, as its not good enough....... Thanks

How do you get it true to the housing but??, you need to fix a jig throught the rover holes, then be able to drill the lux ones, preferably the jig having the correct size stud holes so you can run a drill through and not worry about it walking over the job

I think from memory 1 or 2 of the rover studs line up with the lux centre holes. Michaels jig is a cut down centre so its much the same.

If 2 studs align, not 1, i'll just make a jig out of a spare 3rd, anyone confirm??

Yea, not keen to use a gasket, the car is used daily for work and i don't think he wants any failures ;)

Mat if ya got a 3rd carrier you can use that as a jig as it is or if ya lucky i may have time in my busy schedule :D to machine all the unwanted carrier off so all ya have left is a ring.should be easy to set the carrier bearings up in line with the wheel bearings spot on

Won't work properly, would need to do the math and set it up in the mill to put pins in where the rover studs are meant to be for alignment

Don't need to mill the top off, that's what a 9" is for

Won't be easy to correctly align CORRECTLT unless using this method

Just put it on the list with thoses rear arms, tapered roller bearing conversion..............And when you gonna finish farking around so I can finish that loom for you 5l that I started 2 years ago

yeah its called using dial indicators to line up all the bearings.thats wheel bearings as well as the diff bearings.chances are the housing will be out of shape a bit.by doing it this way you can help to get things back to somewhere near where they should be at the same time.
