I am looking to fit lockers (f&r) to my 80.
The prices I have so far are:
ARB: $3300 fitted.
TJM: $3800 fitted.
Does anyone have any tips on where I might look to find different (read: better) prices?
I was also quoted $3200 drive in - drive out for a 4" spring lift, views on this would be appreciated also.......

Your Spring Lift
What are they supplying for the lift, is it just springs and shocks, or do you get castor correction, extended brake lines, adj panhard rod, etc etc.
What Shocks? Adjustable or not?
I did a 3 inch lift with King Springs and OME Shocks for $550 for my 80 series. Installed myslef with help from a mate and a forklift, took about 2 hours. Easy

For $3200 the lift inlcudes shocks (OME 35mm :-( springs, brakes lines, adj. panhards, castor plates, rtc damper, bump stop ext.
There is no way I am paying to get a lift installed. I am hoping to find a kit that includes most of that stuff for 2K or less, and install at home.
What do people think about shocks? 35mm OME seems a bit skinny to me, and unlikely to survive long on high speed corrugation. I am leaning towards 45mm tough dogs.

Pro comp comp kit would be what I would buy. I have Dobinson springs now and think they are great and will be buying Pro comp the next time I replace my shocks. Everything I have owned with Toughdog on it has been sh1t, and have a few mates that ran Toughdog shocks and had nothing good to say about them. It's an easy decision for me. Even if the Toughdog kit was half the price, I'd still buy the Pro comp one.pridhac wrote:It's now down to choosing between two kits.
