Air locker prices

I am looking to fit lockers (f&r) to my 80.

The prices I have so far are:

ARB: $3300 fitted.

TJM: $3800 fitted.

Does anyone have any tips on where I might look to find different (read: better) prices?

I was also quoted $3200 drive in - drive out for a 4" spring lift, views on this would be appreciated also.......

Yep that about right unless....

Fit them yourself????
Not much to it, just gotta reset the backlash & would give you a chance to do the wheelbearings / Seals at same time :D

better prices,check out for sale section on different forums,ebay also,thers one on outerlimits for sale for $800 i see,says it needs small repair though.

but if its just a case of changing the springs and the shocks tell em they are dreaming

Your Spring Lift

What are they supplying for the lift, is it just springs and shocks, or do you get castor correction, extended brake lines, adj panhard rod, etc etc.
What Shocks? Adjustable or not?
I did a 3 inch lift with King Springs and OME Shocks for $550 for my 80 series. Installed myslef with help from a mate and a forklift, took about 2 hours. Easy

For $3200 the lift inlcudes shocks (OME 35mm :-( springs, brakes lines, adj. panhards, castor plates, rtc damper, bump stop ext.

There is no way I am paying to get a lift installed. I am hoping to find a kit that includes most of that stuff for 2K or less, and install at home.

What do people think about shocks? 35mm OME seems a bit skinny to me, and unlikely to survive long on high speed corrugation. I am leaning towards 45mm tough dogs.

What do you folks think?

I tell you what I think, OMEs and many others the same size have been around surviving longer than you.

I would go with Pro Comp if you can afford them, much stronger and I've seen them take a hell of a lot of punishment.

It's now down to choosing between two kits. There is a pro comp kit, with dobinson springs, and a tough dog kit. Cost is about the same.

What are people experiences? Which shocks are more robust?

Pro comp comp kit would be what I would buy. I have Dobinson springs now and think they are great and will be buying Pro comp the next time I replace my shocks. Everything I have owned with Toughdog on it has been sh1t, and have a few mates that ran Toughdog shocks and had nothing good to say about them. It's an easy decision for me. Even if the Toughdog kit was half the price, I'd still buy the Pro comp one.

Quite a few folks seem to be of this opinion....I'll look into the spec of the Procomp kit I reckon...
