Maybe a set of freewheeling hubs for the middle axle?

or a rear tailshaft disconnect device somewhere in the line...

how are you going to run the drive shafts? the two rear centres would have to be offset and the rear most one would have to have directly upward facing pinion to run the shaft over the first diff (similar to the yank one - is it rockwell centres??)

Just a thought - you could do a divorced transfer case for the rears between the axles and run a shaft fwd and a shaft rearwards...

I'm interested in how this turns out :?

EDIT: or do it like in the post on patrol4x4

I saw a Landcruiser 75? It had the 1st diff with and offset power divider type system with the same style on the rear with a Jackshaft running back to the 2nd diff...... Looked O.K

I think the guy mentioned something about Air engadgement or something.....Maybe look at how the Trucks run Bogie Drives, That would probabbly give you some kind of insight maybe.

Hope it helps.

i had two ideas one was to see if i could machine the back side of the transfer so i could have a shaft come out both sides of the transfer where the front shaft is so that would give me three out put shafts and then i would run a two peice shaft to the rear diff.

the second idea i had was to make a gear box that bolted between tail shaft and diff that then put drive striaght through it to the rear most diff by chain drive or gears

i was planning on running a nissan rear diff with probably a tail shaft disconect or maybe a hubs if thats posible

i shouldnt have any issues wiith off set diffs as i will run a high pinion on the rear and i was wanting to make enough clearance between centres to run 37" tyres

but if any one has any photos of this please post thanks

That army drag/burn out Landrover was running Nissan H260 centers with 2 Patrol Transfercases.
Cant remember how it looked. But thats what it had.
Google for Armygeddon may get you some answers.

Heres how the army does 6x6 Landrovers
Just to give you an idea on how one works, same principle
Drive to the third axle is by a separate propeller shaft taking power from the transfer-case power take-off (PTO). This PTO takes drive from a gear on the transfer case intermediate shaft and rotates at the same speed as the front (1st) and rear (2nd) prop'-shafts regardless of whether hi-range or lo-range is selected. The 3rd prop'-shaft passes over the second axle and is jointed, incorporating a c.v. joint, where it does so. In this way extreme articulation of the two rear axles is possible
Image

using a PTO you can select
2wd - 2nd axle
4wd - 1&2 axles
6wd -1,2 & 3 axles

now add a disconnect to the 2nd axle .....

sent an email off to the engineering shop that did the transfer mods today will wait to see how much they want

to get a middle complete diff with the drive through to rear is worth $13000 or 21000 for the complete kit
