stockman front spring over

Post by leafyhead »

 Well my $200 stockman that is really gonna be used as paddock vehicle, definataly not registerable, already has spring over on the rear and the front is yet to be done.I was gonna pull out whole diff/axle housing and remove the plate attached to bottom of the housing and re attach to the top and maybe brace it too.
It wont be a race or rock climber but i thought a bit more clearance and articulation would help.
Any fors or against this idea.

might be better to make new spring perches unless you can cut the old ones out without too much damage. definitely brace it. got pics of your basher?

Most likley quicker to get a piece of 4x2 box steel about 4mm sidewall and get busy with the hole saw (WD40 can is about same diameter as zuk diff)
Once you cut the hole cut the box in half with your trusty gringer .. 2 spring saddles ..
