OME isn't too expensive in the grand scheme of things.
To save a few bucks you could just buy the springs and use Commodore shocks and Hilux or whatever people are using for the front.
Well I'm guessing that they didn't think everyone would carry on like a big bunch of sooky girls over it like they have........
ok
sorry to butt in here.sierra jim or anyone else. What shocks are in the rear?what model commodore? i have just done a 2" ome lift and used some sock lux rears i had about n monroe lux fronts in the front,im bumping my rear shocks out in compression, dunno bout the front yet.
sierra truggy,37 sticky treps,propane,6.5s and disconnect,lux diffs with spools,16" fox shox,hydro steer.
I WOULD AGREE WITH BUYING A KNOWN BRAND I SEARCHED DID COMPARISON AND THE OME DAKER KIT WAS BETTER LONGER REAR SHOCKS ABOUT 50MM,HEAVY DUTY SPRINGS IF TO HARD YOU CAN SOFTEN THEM AND YOU GET A STEERING DAMPER IN KIT ALL FOR $850.00 COMPLETE BUSHES,U BOLTS,SWAY BAR ADAPTION PLATE AND THE THE RIDE HEAPS BETTER THAN THE 13 YEAR OLD SET THAT WAS IN IT AND IT FIXED THA LEAN
i got a full kit from a local suspension dealer: west oz springs in welshpool, WA.
bushes, 2in lifted springs, shockies all round (desert fox), full bush kit also
800 bucks.. sure its not 600 bucks + postage but its proven and hell its a lot easier to get feedback from a real local oz company.
either way good luck.

For that money you could get the OME Dakar stuff

SO you just asked at an ARB store, or did you jump online and the phone, send emails to places, and look for other stockists? Have you considered the phrase "you get what you pay for". Last time i rode in a zook with a cheap ebay kit on it, it was garbage.skez wrote:yeh it does the only difference is the other one has shackles and a steering dampener and i got quoted about $1600 for a 2 inch kit from arb so stuff that and tjm was just as bad

well how did they go ??
do me a favour before you bolt the lower shock mount pull the shock down and see how far past the lower shock mount they go with the new springs i bet its about an inch
i brought a sierra not so long ago with 2inch kings 2inch shackels and rancho 5000's shocks and they only have 1inch past lower bolt on level ground very disapointing the guy put it in a shop and spent $3400 to get it done also got a body lift at same time, but $3400 and its high, stiff and restricted pour guy.
any anyone after some springs i have a large range of lifted sierra, hilux and cj springs left overs from other projects for sale. as well as standeds that are good to get reset.
(reset 3 inch springs work great cost around $80 a pair to get done, if you pull them out).
