Yank needing a part # for 100 series Cruiser!

Post by 60seriesguy »

Ok, maybe not a yank just yet, but a transplanted Venezuelan "Cruiserhead" living in the US....please bear with me! :)

So it turns out that in the land of 10 million accessories, you can get 22" bling wheels for a 100 series Cruiser in eight different finishes, but you can't get the good old steel wheels that come in the "poverty pack" 100 series around the world...in fact, you can't get *any* steel wheel for the 100 series, period!

I got a friendly Toyota parts guy that's helped me put non-US parts # in the system before, but I need help from fellow Cruiserheads in Australia. Does anyone have the Toyota parts # for the NON-split steel wheel that comes on some of your 100 series Cruisers? Split wheels are illegal in a lot of US states because of liability (don't even get me started on that one). It *might* be the same part number as the non-split wheel that comes on the higher-end 76-78-79 Series Cruisers.

If anyone can help, I would *really* appreciate it, I recently bought a UZJ100 to share stables with my Cummins 4BT-powered FJ62, and I'd like to get rid of the chrome alloy wheels it came with and run steel wheels on it.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Cheers!

Henry

Is your cruiser IFS? I have a set of these rims that fit the IFS 100 series just sitting there I could send them over if your willing to pay for the freight cause I am sick of them sitting here. I was sold them by the wreckers with their promise it would fit my solid axle cruiser, paid them $250 and went and had some tyres fitted on them to get home and guess what they don't fit  anyways I bought some sunny's and tried to take the other rims back to the wreckers but they wouldn't be in it so they are just sitting there now. BTW these are the standard wide rims for the IFS.

I appreciate the offer, but the shipping would be cost prohibitive! My Cruiser is IFS, that's the only version we got here (V8 petrol, IFS, full luxo). Any chance there's a part number stamped on the inner band of the wheel?

Sunraysia's aren't available here, either....

Thanks again for the offer!

Are you hoping that Toyota USA will have these in stock?

Any chance you could pm me the name of the wreckers that sold them to you.

I will check when I get home this afternoon, and post my findings.

Sorry for the late reply but I took off early for my long weekend :D

The only numbers printed on the rims are "J16x8 JJ DOT TOPY 50903 B 5.0"

That is exactly the way it is written.

I rang a couple of toyota dealers today for you and they have given me a toyota part number 42601 606 00.
They told me that this was the correct number for the rims you are after although I'm relying on their knowledge as the computer listing is as clear as mud.
I hope this helps :)
