additional reverse lights

Post by danman-gq »

Hi

i want to add some 55w broadbeam lights to the rear for much brighter reverse lights and work lights when setting up camp etc.

Can i run these directly off the wiring harnes for the towbar to supply power and on off operation. are the wires there able to power lights this size.

do i legally need to run a seperate switch? or can i just have them hooked up so when i select reverse gea they will be on?

thanks for the help

No.

Use the existing reverse light power line to switch a relay with a fused power line direct from the battery.

The rest of it is being discussed - again - in another post.
