if you got them for 500$, its a bargain!

sometimes people dont know what things are worth.

i bought a complete 454 big block chev engine ( in bits but complete) with ported heads with alloy edlebrock manifold and rocker covers for the total cost of 150$

anything under what they are worth is a bargain :D ( unless they are stolen, if you buy stolen parts you deserve to have your car stolen aswell)

If not into that shit so I will pay the extra and get legite ones but by the time you went down there picked them up and came back $400 for the diffs is all I would pay.

The last set I got I paid 300 for the pair LSD rear 4.1s but had drum brake rear.

If your paying any more than that for GQ diffs your getting bent over.

If someone wants to pay more than that go for it, But your stupid.

Nick
mate at that price you are buying stolen gear.
or you are buying gear off people that dont konw what the gear is worth.

Auction prices for written off cars aree obvious, its obvious what the worst patrol you have seen sell for.
when you part them out, there is no money in them if you pilfer parts and then onsell diffs for 500. You dont need to be an economic genious to work it out..

mate wreckers here in brisbane sell them for under 700 a set so cant see why private sale 500 is so cheap. gu diffs on the other hand, now they are still worth a mint and unless they are hot or the person is a clown will cost you your first born.

700$ for a pair of disk GQ diffs at wreckers in brisbane? i wonder why everyone comes down to sydney to buy parts and cars when stuff is so cheap in brizzy people in brizzy must be nuts.???.

so the going rate is 600, but wreckers sell them for 700?

i'd hate to be a wrecker in brizzy.

How about you go and read my earlier post, I wont buy stolen gear.

If your prepared to wait and hunt around for gear you will get it at good prices.

I have a set of GU diffs lined up with 4.3's cheaper than what you had your last set of GQ's for sale.

I understand your trying to justify your prices of what you have stuff for sale for, otherwise people will laugh at your prices, but dont make statements that because I can get it cheaper I'm buying stolen stuff.

if you can get GU diffs ( any ratio) legit for under what i ( thanks for reminding me to remove the ad) SOLD one set of my 4.6,s for, put me down for 5 sets. Sounds STOLEN to me. Who in their right mind would wreck a 15,000 dollar car ( at least) and sell the most expensive parts for 1500? ??

i dont have to justify anything buddy, because im not running a business.......

i sell the bits i dont need. ring up a recking yard ( any wrecking yard) and find out prices for stuff.

Cheers,
Jes

its only worth what some one wants to pay at the end of the day.

i buy and sell shit all the time, some times i might get a great price sometimes i dont sometimes it sits and sits and sits you drop your price till its almost a give away and you see people buy other peoples same shit for twice what your asking and you scratch your head then put the price back and suddenly it sells.

Its all to do with where you look. Brisbane prices are expensive, other places in australia arent.

If you know the right people you dont need to buy stolen stuff to get good prices.

And who said anthing about $1500- there cheaper than that.

well i neeed say no more about your 1500$ 4.3 ratio GU diffs you will have absolute bargain, or a whole hap of bad juju :)

Cheapest place to buy parts or cars in Australia is indeed Sydney

personally, if i could find 10 idiots to sell them at those prices, i would buy 10 sets.( unless they fell out from under a GU at a carpark)

I bought the body in the original auction. Paid him a deposit into the account thats listed with ebay and he hasnt received it so he blames me. He then winged to ebay about me not paying so I sent them a copy of the deposit slip. They will be re-opening my account next week apparently.

He didnt want to wait any longer to sort it out so relisted it. Fair enough but he wouldnt reply to my emails or messages so now I'm $150 out of pocket. My bank says he has recived it he wont asnswer me.

Wanker

I'm not bidding in the second auction I not losing more money.

Thats actually Dads account, We did that to get the 45's cruiser off ebay when some dick made a offer to good to refuse.

If there genuienly been a stuff up with the bank and he hasnt received the money I can see where he's coming from, But FFS at least return my emails so we can sort it out.

I just hope I can get my money back.

Good luck. There is always that risk on ebay that the other person is lying and they have received your money.

i dunno....

ive found with ebay the buyer never gets done over no matter what.... its always the seller that cops the blame....

oh well...

ps those diffs for $400 were mine.. they did sell, it was cheap even though they had drum brakes.... if you had bothered to read the post a little further down i did end up working out the ratio and i corrected it in the post..

cheers mark.

I did end up seeing the ratio's for those diffs but it was after i posted.

Dont get me wrong I'm not saying he's got the money, The bank may have stuffed up but when he won't return my messages its hard to sort where my money is.

Its all abit suss when the day after I did the D/D he says I havent paid and winges to e-bay.

Hopefully the bank can sort it out cause he's being no help.

If this is the same bloke, he approached me in a Woollies carpark one morning in Goulburn. He spotted me in my GQ.
Said he had one that he was wrecking and had some rear lights, as one of mine was broken. Got his number and tried to ring a few days later and it was the wrong number.
Went for drive down there as its only 20mins away and he had told me in a round about sort if way where he lived, semi rural, and couldn't find him. Asked at the general store and at the pub, and no-one knew anything of him. Marulan is just not that big that no one would know of him.
Was just all round kinda strange and random...
