Where abouts do these plugs plug into i cant see anything obvious, can anyone shed some light?
Also, neither of my reverse lights work, where abouts do these plug in? the gear box or the transfer case or what? where exactly is the plug and socket, thanks.
yeh thats helpful thanks alot everyone, that explains why my reverse lights dont work, but i think im missing abit of loom, coz i cant see anything to join those wires upto, i need to go to a wreckers and scab some stuff and have a look
From the passenger side of the engine bay look through the trans tunnel to the gearbox. There shoul be some wires coming out the top. I think the first one is reverse. I think the other one is something to do with pollution Ive never worrid about it. The 4wd indicator comes out of the top of the transfer just infront of the stick.
Nik
if you just need your reverse lights to work for rego or whatever. just put a switch under you gear stick boot, that operates when you pull the stick into reverse.
I did it on my zook a few years ago, because the wires had broken of at the gearbox.
I just went to dicksmiths and got a small limit switch, screwed it to the tunnel under the boot so that when I pulled reverse, it was switching the switch. the wires just ran straight back up to one of the plugs.
Yeah judging by that pic, i must be missing a bit of the loom, god damn Scanas guts. If anyone knows of anyone wrecking a zook, let me know, i need heaps of stuff from it
the 3 plugs on the gbox?
i no one is the reverse light switch
they reckon one is 5th gear wire and the other is maybe a pollution thing are these needed and wat do the other 2 actually do
