4m40 into my paj?
Moderator: -Scott-
4m40 into my paj?
does anyone know if its easy enough to stick a 4m40 into my jabber?
it has the 4d56 in it already but the timing belt has gone so im thinking if i could stick a 4m40 in there instead?
things like engine mounts, wiring loom etc.. would make the decision for me.
i want to keep it simple so i dont have to do much work or modifications
as il be giving the car to my girlfriend and dont want any dramas later down the track when she is driving it etc..

turbo would be in of course
im more worried about the ease of installing it in there where the 4d56 was already.

Hi,
Its not too bad. Radiator out, belts off, fan off, front pully off, move power steering pump, take the rocker cover off and raotat the motor by hand to see if the camshaft caps are broken, top and bottom timing covers off and then you can see things, its not to bad.
cheers, NJ

but then putting it back together and having it running?
what would it be worth at a mechanic to get done?
