front diff help needed

Post by kurzo »

hey guys short and sweet i have an 89 SWB GQ patrol deisel.
just overhailed the cv's on both side with new seals and all that but front passenger side seems to be locking in and spinning the driveshaft open diff. the hub gets extremely hot and makes a weird noise like metal shaving on metal, diff has benn changed prob about a month ago and all the bearings are still good.

any help what would be causing the wheel to lock in?

there manual locking hubs, and the passenger wheel is locked in drive while the oppostie side is free.

i just took off the free wheeling hub and it looks alright it pops up when i turn it to lock and goes back down on its own when turned back to free.

any help guys? its still making the shaving noise.
