Does any one know any thing about putting dual transfer leavers in a sierra so you can get 2WD low range?

There are also ways of removing the ball in the selector forks so that you can engage a 2wd low, RRO offer this as an option on some of their cases.

If it were required for on road duties why would you even ask for a twin stick. You'd just put it in 4WD low with unlocked front hubs. for your average tracks u might not need it but when u start doin tighter technical tracks it is very handy

i had the 2wdlow mod with one stick and it was terrible
to hard to find the right gear
and always getting jammed
now with the 2 sticks i push or pull them forward easy as pie
and definatly know what gear i am in
and it is a fairly easy mod to make the 2 sticks work

I have seen a twin stick boot that will fit a Suzi but I didn't get the link.

not stirring the pot, but if you war very careful and smooth you can get from high to low on the move, but there has to be NO load on the case- flat ground, dip the clutch at about walking pace, and it MIGHT go in.
If you have reduction gears the speed difference is huge and it is very hard to get it to work.
Because it can't be done under any load it's pretty pointless anyway.
2WD to 4WD is no problem on the move.

Iv'e done the low 2 mod to my selector shaft with one shifter and it turn shitloads better even with the front detriot in 2wd low , it would almost be 1/3 less turning circle , when there is no drive the detroit unlocks , Cheers Paul.
