3B fast idle

3B fast idle
I have a BJ73 with 3B motor and after market turbo. In the last 3-4 weeks the idle speed has jumped. The car used to idle around 600rpm, and now idles at around 1300rpm.
The idle speed only picks up once the engine is warm. The engine itself has no noticable difference in power/performance etc it is just idling really fast once warm.
As this is my first diesel I don't really know where I should start looking or if there are any obvious things to look out for
Any help would be much appreciated
Cheers
Craig

1stly.. search here: http://forum.ih8mud.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24
2ndly.. It could be a hole in your governor diaphram.. a thing on your injector pump, .. if you have holes in it you might get a faster idle (i think this is what i read).. its a $40 part and a PITA to replace but possible at home..
i'd double check on ih8mud first though..

12H-T pump is directly controlled, it has no diaphragm, so your fast idle is probably more of an adjustment issue.ellard wrote:Hi there
Would this also be applicable for the 12ht fast idle issues - and also a pig to drive in low-range 4x4 (running to fast).
If this is the case has anyone have any pictures or description what has to be done to repair the problem.
Thanks
Wayne
the idle speed screw is just the throttle stop, pretty easy to figure out and adjust.
