crankshaft pully/harmonic balancer repair

Post by cplux »

Hi all just wondering if anyone knows of anywhere, sydney preferable that may be able to urathane or otherwise a crankshaft pulley back together. the rubber ring between mine has failed.

the pulley is the same design as that found on 2y/3y/4y toyota motors, but has been custom made by a mate of mine and is a larger diameter to spin a supercharger quicker.

i would like to urethane it because it can sometimes creep forwards/backwards on the rubber and hence throw belts.

thanks craig

you don't really want urethane as that will remove what its their for ie vibration dampner. urethane will be to hard. you may be able to weld it up and bolt another dampner onto the front of the pulley.
