Found fuel dripping from the injector pump the other day, so today I cleaned it all up and noticed diesel dripping from what appears to be a rear seal.
It is in the centre plate at the back of the pump surrounded by the injector lines. It looks like a 13mm plug which is sitting in a larger diameter nut.
Does anybody know if the seals which are there can be easily replaced or is there more involved?
I've done a search and found a few threads regarding the top plate leaking and whats involved with that, and the usual cause, low sulper diesel, but nothing about the rear of the pump.
cheers, alex.

Rear seal leak -td42 inj pump
If its leaking from the 13mm bolt, there is a copper washer behind it. It the triangle plug, you will need to replace the plug, the have an o ring and a knife edge seal on the plug. You will also need the special tool to undo the plug. Are you sure its not coming from higher up?
