Applause. It is an HD-E engine you need.

Apart from the Applause accessories, the only difference in actual engine
core is the camshaft, which is a little more aggressive, but of course at the
expense of a tiny bit of low down torque.

As a bolt on you dont have many options IMO about the most powerfull
is the DeTomaso engine @ 92kw ( if i remember correctly ) but I wouldn't
advocate it for an off roader . It also runs different EFI and a knock sensor
so its not a straight swap.

If you really commited to the existing transfer/gearbox then turbo or supercharge the HDE.

now you can buy a complete wrecked auto V6 commadore for around $400
transfercase adaptor (marks adaptors) engine mounts ect for around $1500
because you got a complete car it has all the wiring harneses & computer
& you will definatly have more power, my V6 fatroza has 37" tyres, cruises
on the hwy at 130klm all day & I have had her upto 187klm by the GPS
& still had more peddel to go,in comps she sits around 130klm in
low range before hitting the rev limiter
..........but now I want more,,,so it will either be a supercharger or 5ltr
fule injected V8 to go in next
