Give Dellows a call
You might be able to get a blank adaptor from them with just the trimatic holes drilled and drill the zook ones youself

Edit I got a 'spare' 1600 to 1300 gearbox adaptor from BenT
Might be able to use it in reverse, I'll have to dig it out and have look

trimatic

The 3 speed trimatic in a holden has the same INTERNALS as the 3 speed Vitara box (both made by GM).
As far as I know the bell and tailhousings don't interchange.

I can see no reason why by using a sierra/vitara adpater such as BenTzooks or Trail toughs you couldn't bolt a Vitara trimatic to a sierra motor. There might be some mucking around with the starter and flexplate, but it shoudl be possible.

Having said that, I don't think it would perform very well unless the 1.3 had more than stock HP.

a sierra gearbox to a vitara engine adaptor will work in reverse. the flex plate from a vitara bolts straight onto a sierra crankshaft.

i made my adaptor from a holden trimatic rear output housing, chopped and milled true then cut the back shaft suppert housing from a sierra 5 speed and got the milled true, inserted a flat plate between the 2 then tigged em up. that is the short of it, you do need to get it perfectly lined up.
