The engine is a VS 5.0L
After much research I have been very successfull
The compressor is a SD5H14 (R134a equivalent of a SD508).
The bracket mounts off the cylinder head and is gusseted for strength
The only thing I still need to do is support the compressor from one of the front lugs.
I am using a reservior of approx 9 litres
The compressor is driven via the water pump pulley (leter model VS use a double 11A pulley)
The belt length is the same as the water pump/altenator belt (which now gives me a spare
Currently I am using an ARB pressure switch (100psi off / 70psi on)
But Im thinking of changing this to an adjustable pressure switch so that I can reduce the differential to say 100/85. The main reason I want to do this that when I use an impact wrench it only drops around 15psi each time I undo a wheel nut. Im guessing if I reduce the differential the tank can recover each time and I can start off with 100psi every time.
What do others out there run for a pressure switch?
I am also looking at running air lockers at a later stage and have accomodated for this. What experience have others had with running air lockers off this type of compressor?
