I like this one:
In the production class vehicle specs we have
But at the end of that section we have
Looks like Glen is writing special rules to allow Noddy into production class again
I guess that some production cars are just more production than others.
Sam
In the production class vehicle specs we have
1. SUSPENSION.
a. All vehicles entering this class should retain relatively standard suspension.
But at the end of that section we have
Vehicles with leaf to coil spring conversions may be admitted to competition if complying with suspension height restrictions. Prior approval must be obtained.

Are you sure that swampers and boggers are Aust Standard approved because its my understanding that they are not (along with the MT117). I would love to see proof that says otherwise.
Sam
i asked glen if swampers were approved and he told me most of the tyres were approved but the silverstones were not.
probably doesnt mean they are legal to use on my truck [speed or load rating ? ] even with the legal size.

easy fix for Production class entry Rules, From here on "production" will be called " UNLOCKED CLASS " how easy was that no more spliting hairs on this rule. The main points for this class is 33" tyre size and no lockers. 4" spring lift leaves plenty of scope for mods in this class. If a competitor turns up to comp with a vehicle not approved by rules, don't cry unfair, check with me first if you have any doubt.
All approved tyres carry a standards symbol for compliance to Australian standards, can be either D.O.T code E1 or E2 code OR JATMA code. these standards are the same as AUSSIE standards and is excepted by all states in Aust. Some of the early swampers did not have a D.O.T code but the later ones should have this on the side wall. the Australian Rim & Tyre Ass standards manual has all the info on this subject.
And just for the record Noddy was informed that for 2004 modified was the only class for entry allowed for this vehicle.
Remember girls and guys we don't play for sheep stations and fun is the name of the game.
