Stock Sierra Video

Post by greg »

Hi All,

Here's a little video that was captured on a recent pre-run with some members of the zook club.

A little bit of pre-viewing information:

This was my fourth attempts at this piece of track, i tried to crawl it in 1st low, then in 2nd low, then in 3rd low, and then in 4th low (as shown in the video). So i just wanted to point out that the little car doesn't normally get driven like this

Note: Just before the big "yeah" at the end you can hear the sneeze of the turbo if you listen hard

Note 2: It's 1.2 meg i think. :)

Cheers.

p.s. thanks Mock and Chris for your help with the video

Hmm, sorry guys, It works even when i have logged out of the yahoo group and try to access it.

Perhaps your 'puters are the problem?

Hey Chris, any ideas about this? I'm pretty sure these guys should be able to access it no worries right?

I been looking thru the group settings and it says members only can view files and photos, and there is no other options, other than moderators only. It will need to be hosted somewhere else for non members, or they need to sign up. I will look see if I can put it somewhere till graham gets back.

We toyed with that idea, and also looked at putting a whiz bang ricer muffler on it, but these options were looking expensive - i.e. 600 bucks just for the muffler... so in the end we put a hotdog (made out of mild steel i think) on it and that seems to have worked pretty well (though it doesn't do much to keep it quiet)...

Don't forget that the whole exhaust system is two and a quarter inches straight through with a high flow cat...

Yeah it definately doesn't have the 'mosquito' sound that i was fearful it was going to have... in fact it's probably almost as grunty sounding as a 1.3 (if that can be described as sounding 'grunty' :D )
