im looking at changing the stock suspension in my 87 lux and am looking for some advise on what you guys would recommend

I will be running a winch and bullbar, along with a towbar on the rear, i would like if possible to have a less harsh ride with plently of flex for playing whilst still being safe for onroad use as a daily driver.

Im looking for 2 to 3inches of Lift if possible

What would be the best solution for this?

rears up front. thats 4 inch lift roughly. huge flex, give a pretty good ride. IFS rear springs in the rear with extended shackles and a trac bar so you can take out leaves to make it as flexxy and comfy as you like.
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

Rears up front aren't the best on road. Will throw you off the road when under hard braking. IFS rears in the back with ext shackles would be the first step (with track bar).

sorry to sound so confused but

Stock Rear springs in front and IFS rears in the rear will give 4inches of lift allround, on extended shackles that is?

IFS rear will be the same lift as standard springs so u need either a diesel engine :roll: or lifted IFS springs with lift blocks to make it level. yeah RUF does handle like shit sometimes, but it aint that hard to get used to. just hold on when there is an obsticle around it loves finding shit to drive :roll: :oops:

Im looking at the below, how would this fex/handle on the road and what changes would you recommend?
Cant the Traction link system be used in conjunction with inverted shocks?

What about shock hoops front & rear. Can't put long travel shocks in standard format.

It will add up quickly if ya buy from snake racing. Be cheaper to go to local wreckers and get spring packs.

I thought Longer shocks in standard format just limits upward travel, thanks for the info.

Im prepared to pay the money for the right equipment

Your best off using your bump stop to limit your travel or your will just fark ya shocks.

Are you going to do x-over steer???

In the future yes but at this point im just going to add a return to centre steering damper and possibly a rockrod

coiled 80 series diff up front or bundy diff if u dont want 2 have to flare it 5 inches each side as the bundy diff is the same a a lux diff but coiled

This is pretty much mandatory for "rears up front" as your stock steering arm will bind and eventually crack off with all the extra travel.

Dont swap the springs till you do the x-over.
