We have in place a training program that we have been slowly introducing. It's forever evolving with all marshals at VWC will be req to do the training on the 21st, eyeball their stages and therefore be not only up to date with current rules, but also very familiar with their stages. This, the training, would normally be 2-3 weeks prior but due to long weekend and 4wd show it's earlier.
We are always trying new ideas and due to the last couple of Vic events being less than perfect, this is another "method" we plan to use to achieve a perfect event, marshal wise.
Oh and as some of the usual helpers will be competing, some of the usual competitors will be helping, it will give those doiung different tasks the chance to familiarise themselves with newer roles.
Now to answer your 2 part question..... yes/no.

Jonsey,
Just say i ask our 4wd club guys (which i will next week and probably get some results) what do i tell them is expected of them for vic winch?
As in what sort of time is required for the training? When and where will the training take place? What amount of time do they need to commit to on the weekend? What duties will be expected of them? And lastly of course what's in it for them, as in free lunch's etc???
Cheers Dan.

Marshals at the VWC will need to have completed the training and working bee being held on the 21st October to brush up or learn the rules. They decide how much time they can dedicate to the event and will be alloted stages acordingly and will be fed the same as the teams do during the event.

Well so far I have a few helpers on the list but more are still required. If you wanna get involved and watch the action close up, now is the time to stand up and be counted.
You'll have a great weekend with the best seats in the house, camp and mingle with competing teams, get fed and you may even get to pre-drive some tracks.
Post up if you're keen

You'll need to attend the training/working bee weekend on the 20th 21st October, become a CCDA member, then turn up for the event. If you can russel up some buddies that are also keen and form a crew that'd be great. We'll group everybody and fine tune the training weekend when I know how many are coming.

Dwayne,
It'd be good if you TMR guys could get b/w 6 & 8 people. You would then all be able to run stages on Fri, Sat or/& Sun as a group. Everyone will need to be CCDA members and we need to now who's planning on attending the training so please email training@ccda.info .
