A FRAME REARS

Post by fatassgq »

I got told about a guy who runs one of these (wizard) and the guy said that the truck four wheel steers big time on the street just going round corners! That sounds insane. He also said that when they install one in a wagon they have to seriously mod shit so the tyres ( i presume 35"+) dont rip the shit out of the body.
Does anyone on this board run one? I was just curious as I know the likes of kim bolton and tim brady have them and it is obvious what they do for flex.

We just fitted a rear A frame to the ex sales reps patrol at work two weeks ago and it did make it very wandery on the road while driving. But as for guard damage with 35s no problem as yet he has been running 35s for the last year and a half and hasnt had a problem. When we did test the articulation on the hoist it did have plenty of clearance, but he would have trouble if running 37s :)

The links are too short, to fix the prob just make the links longer.

yep, dead on. If you don't make the lowers longer the roll axis goes pointy especially badly in a nissan, because the lowers triasngulate outwards very slightly. you could have them the same length but running to the inside of the chassis rail and it would get rid of 90% of the steer.

isn't a good rule that the top arm should be 75% the length of the bottom arm, or the bottom arm 125% the length of the top arm.??
