Post by Ridealldayrideallnight »

Does anyone know if a NT ARB Bullbar will fit a WT Sierra? has anyone done this? what is involved in modifying the bar?

are you sure about that, where does the arb bull bar bolt onto? I havent seen one up close so I cant speek for ARB BARS.
BUT
I thought they bolted up next to the leaf spring shackle mount on the inside of the chassie on the WT and on the out side of the chassie and shackle mount on the NT.
I bought a NT bull bar by mistake and there is no way in hell it will bolt onto my WT :?
But mine is alloy so I am just going to copy the original mounts and make new ones out of 10mm alloy plate - then cut the original ones off but leave the main support inside the bull bar for extra strength.

Then bolt the new mounts to the car and then fit the bull bar to the new mounts while its on the car
(spot weld only first)- (then remove and tig weld properly)
I hate going to weddings because all the grandma's used to poke me in the ribs saying you're next, you're next. They've stopped doing it since I started doing it to them at funerals.

I agree, i had a custom bar made up for my WT. The bar was made off a NT chassis and would not fit on because of the leaf spring mounts. Simple angle grinder work and the bar is attached by three mounts on either chassis rail instead of four now.

Cheers :)

ARB have only ever made 2x bars for all leaf Sierras (a winch mount and non-winch mount bar) and of which the non-winch mount bar has been deleted over time. Therefore ARB now only produces a winch bar for all leaf Sierras (P/No. 3424010). This will defintely bolt onto a standard 1.0 or 1.3 models (except SJ80-coilly), wide or narrow track.
