If you still need to buy the Auto to Transfer Adapter and the dual case adapter go with the nissan cases. They are much stronger. Hilux cases have 3 weaknesses. First you will start breaking rear output shafts, Then you will upgrade to a chromo output, Then you will break input shafts so you can then upgrade to a larger 23spline input, Then you will break front output shafts. There is no heavy duty replacment i know of for the front output. Generally the stock gear sets never fail.

The only GQ Transfer i have seen break was Cheezy's after driving it for a few hours with no oil and around 400+HP. Not sure what actually let go. It was in one of Marks first Dual Case set ups at Woodpecker about 4 years ago.

I would say spend the extra and go the patrols....

Mates with twin hiluxes are breaking them quite often, but they are running V8's or V6's and min 38's.

One is currently swapping the Luxy stuff for GQ as is sick of breaking the Luxy stuff every few trips.....

If you can afford the extra $$$, do it once and do it right, youl be happier in the long run....

It goes in the 2nd case. There isn't one in the first case.

From memory it was a bearing failer, which might of been brought on from low oil.
