central locking dont work they make the noise but dont lock anyone help

Pull the door skin off the drivers side door (as this is the master lock, the others are just clones) and have a look at the actuator for the central locking. It clamps onto the rod (dont know actual name) which locks and unlocks the door via the nob. This is often the issue as it loosens over time and slips on the rod.
Just tighten (usually a small hex key or phillips head screw)and all should be fine and dandy.
