Uhf Issue

Uhf Issue
Have a GME TX3200 installed in my GQ, Has been in for 3 years without a problem, Issue I am having is that I can Receive fine But when Trying to transmit Unless someone is within 50 meters they can't receive my transmission?? Q is it the head unit or wiring Problem? Have checked all connections & they are fine.
Have you always had this problem, or has it started recently?
My guess is your antenna has an impedance problem. When receiving, at low power levels, it's not noticeable. When you're transmitting, you're not getting enough power to the antenna itself, because most of it is being reflected back to the transmitter. Not only does this severely limit your range, but it can damage your transmitter, too.
If you can, check all your antenna wiring for signs of damage. If you don't find anything obvious, I recommend finding a radio specialist who can do some tests for you.
Good luck,
Scott
