I definitely wouldn't do 16x6. I have some MTRs in that size on 16x7, and they are great - but 16x7.5 is the minimum specified.

For a while ProComp listed 16x7 for their X-Terrains in that size, but more recent lists seem to be back to 16x7.5.

What are you driving? Is it a problem to find 16x8?

its a 60 and i was looking at rim prices and not sure what size would fit, 16 x 8 is a hard rim size to find second hand...

Do you already have the tyres? 15x8 is a lot easier to find 2nd hand... 15x7 even easier. Same goes for 15" tyres... it just all works out cheaper and I would think 15s fit on a 60.

But if you have the 16" tyres already that's different.
This is not legal advice.

You should be able to pick up a brand new 16 x 8 rim for less than $100. I just bought six black sunnies for $80 each.

I got mine brand new from Guest 4wd in Fairfield but your local beaurepairs or Bob Jane should be able to get the same steel rim in a 16 x 8 for around $80 to $100.

I have stacks of discovery steel rims - so I wanted to use them. They are a very solid rim. Funnily enough, I think the tyres work better on a narrow rim, and there is very little chance of the bead betting damaged by rocks offroad, as the tyre protects it.
