Modified is the best class to be in to win overall as the tracks are easier and you can still have heeps of mods (the ONLY thing on my lux that puts me in open is the anti wrap bar on the rear diff). Open is the worst class to be in to try and win overall as you drive the same tracks as outlaw but with smaller tyres.

For overall scoring you take your finall score and times it by

Outlaw 100%
open 115%
modified 120%
standard 125%

I`m not shore if the %`s are correct but its something like that.

The stupid thing is the standard and modified drive easier tracks as well as get bonus points. They should all drive the same tracks and then get bonus points to even them back up or every class drives seperate tracks and no bonus points.

And the bar missing of the front diff also would put you in OPEN CLASS I believe. :D

I drove in modified with a total of 699/ 800

6 points short of 3rd in my class

get real guys if most open and outlaw couldn't

drive the James hole or the second hole in the

wombats revenge what chance does standard

or modified have.

out of the eight events

Event 1
MRT TERROR aka THE HILLCLIMB

all classes same line

Event 2
ARB ACTION aka BIG W

all classes the same line[ bar one section which both lines were no harder]

Event 3
BOOTS OUTDOOR CENTRE ROUNDABOUT aka MERRY GO ROUND

this event had a differrent line for every class even open and outlaw.

Event 4
OPPOSITE LOCK CRISSCROSS

the only difference was open and outlaw had to drive the log
right at the end of the second stage.
most trucks didn't make the ledge in the first stage
so apart from the last 10 point mark same track
every class

Event 5 MACQUARIE MADNESS aka STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN

every class same line.

Event 6
COOPER TYRE'S CHAOS aka TREES REVENGE

apart from the James hole [for open class and outlaw]
same track every class

Event 7
MANNEL MOTORS WOMBATS REVENGE

one track for outlaw and open
one track for standard and modified

Event 8
BLACK RAT SWAMP

same track same line every class

The main problem with open and outlaw was the James hole

being too big and at the start of the course,

also with the size of the second wombat hole

same problem most trucks fell over

it should have been the last hole.

so most tracks really aren't easier tracks for modified

six out of eight are the same track

with the james hole added in and left or right side

of one tree on the Event 2 ARB ACTION

and the log at the end of OPPOSITE LOCK CRISS CROSS

before anyone biatch's too much look at the class

specifications we all cant have something like

Sams Mogrover as a base entry level for clubs event

or buy a Commodore and go to Summer Nats.

Where can we find out about the conditiond for each class then? Did the competitors get a form saying what mods for each class? Is there somewhere on the internet where we can get this information?

its not on the net
for me im in open cause of the 5 link front end on the patrol.
standard u can have a lift but not go over 33s
modified u can have lockers and lift but i think 35s
open up to 38s
outlaw lots of $$$$$$$$ anything
so if u have a 4 runner and u change the ifs to solid and run 31s u r in open.....
a;so if u change your engine to larger that your make comes out with u will be in open...

Yeah mate, I was playing with BFGs :) Other than the mud, they performed quite well

I just got the 38 TSLs put on this morning and am looking forward to a run with them very soon. I am hoping to use them at Woodpecker
