dont follow its going to hurt
Been there - tried that, changed whole axle.
Front spline a major problem - couldn't find anyone with a broach to do the job or a gear from another make/model that was suitable.
Wish you luck - if you manage to lock a Feroza front, I will be the first order you get - and I am VERY serious.

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.

How do you plan to handle the ratio issue, change front and rear ?
Your going to hurt the already too high transfer situation even more if you go below the 5.285:1 ratio already fitted.
Thats why I went Toyota, could match front ratio, and If I want to change stuf even more down the track there are higher ratios available.

i would most probably change both when i do it. im toying with the idea of getting a wreaked f300 in the next year or so and a wreaked hilux or other Ifs sprung vehicle and figureing out how hard it will be to swap whole diff, hub and arms etc over into the feroza. which then would leave more options for rear diffs and ratios. this wont be happening untill i get the dollars to do it lol at uni so funds for experimenting at this stage are tight

IMO you need to look at the whole package, diffs, transfer/gearbox, wheels,
suspension and engine.
Without an overall approach, you will move from one issue to another. What you are proposing is a lot of work and $$ - having done it I know.

There have been a couple of guys that have swapped the Hilux IFS front diff into a Vitara along with rear diff. Something similar maybe possible.
