Are CENTIPEDE'S to strong for a NJ Pajero ?
Have been told things will break.

This is absolutely 100% correct ...... centipedes will cause all breakages.

Use any other tyre and you will be fine... :roll:

I am running Coopers STT at the moment is that as aggresive as I can go ?

I went from some highway terrain tyres on my car to some AT's and the first thing that happened was I needed an engine rebuild ;)

We run Maxxis Mudzillas on our NJ without breakages, just depends on how you drive. Simex's or any aggresive tyre will damage drivelines if you get airbourne and stay on the gas.

They are teh shizzle, especially in VIC. They are so good they actually stop breakages between the steering wheel and the indicator stalk.. What do you mean this isnt Pirate?

You've been told some complete and utter crap - and not just here. :D

Size of tyre and driving style will make more difference than tread pattern. If you want CENTIPEDES - go for it!

Sounds like a typical (jealeousy I think) toyo pootrol response to me.

You will be fine providing your not landing with full throttle etc - common sense stuff.

I run heavy ice breaker chains on all 4 wheels regularly and drive (spin) them hard on occasions.

i run the 31 inch extremme trekker centerpedes. the best tire i have used (only used cheap mts before hand). i have had a few problems with breakages tho, the first time out i smashed apart my front left cv, and the right is about to go as well, since i have reconsidered my driving style nad havnt broken anyhting since.
when/ if you get them you will never look back

Good tires for competition. Otherwise, stay off them and they are too expensive to run around in. I broke one rear axle shaft and twisted a CV joint when my right foot challenged an almost vertical incline 3meters up. I reached the top and stayed there for awhile, I am happy with normal MT as long as they are 35". I am on a Gen 1 LWB with a Starion 2.6 engine.

What size are you guys running on gen 1 pajeros and what kind of lift did you need?

Also, how do the Procomp retreads compare to the real thing? Anyone had any experiences?

Im thinking i might try and get some 33's for my NG.
